MSNIMT, Chavara, Kollam

A Workshop on Emotional Intelligence, as a tool for competence Development was conducted at MSN Institute of Management and Technology, Chavara, Kollam on 20th February 2010. Dr. ND Palan impressed on the essence and importance of emotional intelligence and related emotional skills to tide over changing emotional skirmishes while dealing with emotionally troubled individuals. The one day programme was totally lively and interactive. Even the weakest student began gaining strength on his weakness through emotional skills. 50 MBA finalists attended the programme.

The principal and the Placement Officer appreciated the programme and conveyed their gratitude for such insight for their students on better career opportunities. The second face of the programme has been planned for the same students after 10 days.

TKM College of Engineering, Kollam

A seminar was held in TKM College of Engineering, Kollam on 14th January 2010. About 250 engineering students along with the college teaching staff including Head of the department and principal of the college attended the seminar. The overall focus of the event was of the students facing problems in concentrating on their subjects besides developing their personality. The importance of emotional intelligence and its applications were highlighted for the career development of the students. There were many questions on the concept of emotional intelligence, which were addressed to the satisfaction of students.

At the end the principal and HOD while expressing their gratitude appreciated the introduction of the new subject for the benefit of the students.
